Lincoln Road Dermatology

had a very disappointing experience at Lincoln Road Dermatology. My mother had a scheduled appointment, and when we arrived, the staff initially claimed there was no appointment on file. We showed them a screenshot confirming the appointment, and the front desk receptionist assured us that the doctor would see her. We then spent time filling out all of the required paperwork. After that, the assistant began collecting my mother’s insurance information. We were initially told they accepted Medicare, but later were informed that they did not. Despite the confusion, we agreed to proceed as self-pay. The situation became even more frustrating when Dr. Marcy Alvarez entered the room and stated that my mother did not have an appointment. By that point, we had already been checked in, completed paperwork, and her assistant had begun asking about medications and medical history. The entire process was disorganized, confusing, and unprofessional. Patients should not be given conflicting information by multiple staff members, especially after investing their time and providing personal medical information. Dr. Alvarez was dismissive and rude, and the overall experience left us feeling unwelcome and unheard. Everyone can have a bad day, but this felt like a reflection of a much larger problem with communication and professionalism within the office. I would not recommend this practice based on our experience.

I am a new patient and appreciated the front staff being patient with getting all new patient docs in order. Really happy with the attention and care of Dr. Alvarez. She is thorough and educates you on the issues and treatment. I have already referred a friend to this practice.
